International trade fair in a beautiful city of Munich in warm and nice spring time is a very good reason to meet and discuss your perspective projects.
During the last years Entelechon has expanded and strengthened its service portfolio.
Based on our expertise in Synthetic biology, Molecular biology and Bioinformatics our multidisciplinary team performs advanced and complex projects for various industrial and academic applications.
Entelechon has published a free online tool for the calculation of the complexity of randomized mutant libraries. This tool allows to enter the number of randomized amino acid positions, as well as the number of codon variants at each position, in order to estimate the total number of possible permutations. Based on this complexity, the tool tests whether a synthetic library will contain sufficient molecules in order to cover each variant at least once.
In addition, the tool compares the performance of codon-precision libraries with conventional libraries based on single nucleotide randomizations. This allows the user to choose the most economic and efficient approach for the problem at hand.
Entelechon has 12 years of experience in gene synthesis. We have
designed thousands of genes and we improved our gene optimization
algorithm to get only the best possible sequences, resulting in highest
protein expression. Benefit from our experience.
Expression Insurance Service Package:
Analysis of the sequence*
Gene optimization
Gene synthesis
Cloning and expression in E.coli on a 1 mL scale
Report on expression and solubility
Screening for the best performing clone
Positive protein expression:
You receive an optimized synthetic gene, Data report confirmation of the
protein expression and the best performing bacteria clone for the price Eur 990 + 0.69 EUR/bp for gene synthesis.
Negative protein expression:
Even the best way optimized genes sometimes do not express for objective
biological reasons. When expression is not successful, i.e. there is no
detectable product after induction or the yield is less than 1 mg / L, you receive
Data report and you pay just 0.39 EUR/bp for gene synthesis.
* Before initiating the project we offer analysis of the sequence regarding potential problems (for example, hydrophobic, unsoluble or some transmembrane proteins are difficult to express). When detected problems make a successful expression unlikely we recommend to terminate the project. You are charged only EUR 40.00 for the sequence analysis report.
We reserve the right to reject unsuitable proteins. This offer is valid only for genes optimized by Entelechon.
Entelechon’s managing director Markus Fischer will be present at the BIO Europe meeting in Düsseldorf, Germany. The event takes place from October 31 to November 02 and is the perfect opportunity to discuss how you can leverage our fee-for-services for your research and development projects.
One of the main focuses will be Entelechon’s recently launched codon-precision mutant libraries, which are based on shuffled codons and which are free from undesired codons or stop codons. Compared to conventional, single nucleotide randomized libraries, Entelechon’s codon-precision libraries can reduce the effort required for screening – and thus your turn around time and costs – significantly.
In addition, we will be happy to discuss our service portfolio – including custom gene synthesis, bioinformatics, and protein expression – with you at BIO Europe. If you are interested in quantitative proteomics or biomarker discovery, please ask about the QconCAT technology of our subsidiary PolyQuant.
In order to arrange for a meeting at the BIO Europe, please either use the official Partnering Platform, or contact us.
Based on an innovative new technology developed in-house at Entelechon, we offer codon-precision mutation libraries effective immediately. These libraries contain randomized positions where a set of multiple alternative codons is incorporated into the gene sequence.
As opposed to conventional randomized gene libraries, codon-precision libraries are not based on single nucleotide wobbles. Therefore, they avoid the typical problem of undesired codon variants or stop codons.
With Entelechon’s codon-precision libraries, the combination and ratio of codons at a particular sequence position can be specified by the customer. By avoiding undesired variants, these libraries have a significantly reduced complexity and can potentially save a lot of labor and costs in the screening process. They are ideally suited for:
Entelechon’s managing director Markus Fischer will participate in HUPO’s 10th annual world congress at Geneva, starting September 4. He will be representing Entelechon’s subsidiary PolyQuant at the event, and will engage in discussions with industry leaders and academics partners as how the QconCAT technology can be applied to the problem of defining and quantifying the human plasma proteome.
The plasma proteome is one of the most interesting targets for personalized medicine, and a promising resource for diagnostics. However, the vast concentration range of different plasma proteins – reaching from the very abundant immune globulines and serum albumine to faint traces of proteins leaking from damaged epithelial cells, spanning over 12 log units – make it very difficult to get an accurate readout of small changes in low-abundant proteins.
The QconCAT technology is particularly suited to tackle this problem, and the HUPO meeting will be an excellent opportunity to discuss its application to the analysis of the plasma proteome. For more information, please get in touch with us via the contact form.
Entelechon will participate in Biotechnica in Hannover, 11-13 October 2011, presenting our service portfolio for molecular biology and synthetic biology.
Welcome to visit our booth No.G74 in Exhibition Hall 9.

With tumor therapy becoming increasingly a focus of researchers and investors alike, the demand for effective tumor markers grows strongly. The molecular biology and proteomics service provider Entelechon has started an initiative for the development of tumor marker discovery kits. The project is funded by the German BMBF (Ministry of Education and Research) and aims at the design of a combined depletion and enrichment kit specific to a panel of potential tumor markers. The press release can be found here.
Entelechon has moved into new facilities in May. We are fully operational again, and are happy to say that the new site allows us to provide even better services to our clients. With more than double the floor space and state-of-the-art molecular biology lab, you can expect the same commitment to customer satisfaction, but also quicker turn around times and an expanded service portfolio in the near future.
Good research needs space. Having outgrown the current facility, Entelechon and PolyQuant are relocating to new premises effective May 23, 2011. With this step, we will more than double our floor space, enabling further growth and the implementation of new technologies. For our customers, this will mean expanded capabilities, more capacity, and more flexibility.
There will be a brief interruption of production and tech support on May 19 and 20, but we will keep our tech support responsive as long as possible. We apologize in advance for the inconvenience. Ongoing projects will of course be delivered without delay.
