Leto gene optimization software
Leto 1.0 is our proprietary software for the optimization of DNA sequences for maximum expression yields. It features a new approach towards gene optimization, based on a genetic algorithm. This approach allows for the simultaneous optimization of a large set of competing parameters, such as
- Codon usage
- Homogenous GC content
- mRNA secondary structure
- Cryptic splice sites
- Codon and motif repeats
- Restriction sites
- Custom motives (e.g. Poly-A signals, GC islets)
Leto is capable of searching the vast solution space of possible sequence permutations and find a sequence optimized for all of these (and more) parameters.
In addition, Leto offers a convenient graphical user interface for working with DNA sequences. For example, restriction sites can be inserted with a few mouse clicks, keeping the amino acid sequence unchanged.
