Sequence annotation

Locust automatically looks for new sequences in your file system and adds them to the database. To make most of your sequences, you can annotate sequences, such as adding database references, highlighting specific sequence motives (e.g. promoters or ORFs), or add comments.

Locust will even assist in annotating a sequence: You can define annotation rules which are applied automatically. An example would be the adding of a comment for every sequence found under a specific folder, in order to indicate that a sequence belongs to a particular project.
